Soccer has been a lifelong passion for Sunny. He played college soccer at Central Christian College and Greenville College before spending two seasons playing semi-professionally in Kingston, Jamaica. He later played for Carlsbad Top Gun and earned a tryout opportunity with the LA Galaxy before injuries ended his professional ambitions.

Sunny continued his love for the game by coaching competitive youth soccer in Southern California. Today, his greatest joy is watching his son and daughter play. As a former player, coach, and proud soccer dad, he brings a personal understanding of the dedication behind every athlete’s journey.

“My playing days may be over, but my passion for helping the next generation is just beginning.”

Co-Host

Timothy Savage

Tim@OklahomaNextLevel.com

Timothy Savage is a Navy veteran, father of four, youth sports coach, and sports announcer with a love for the game and the people who make it worth watching. He brings small-town Oklahoma roots, a curious mind, and a willingness to jump into something new to Oklahoma Next Level.

Read Timothy’s introduction

Raised in Minco, Oklahoma, Timothy played high school football and competed in track, with plenty of time spent lifting weights along the way. Sports have remained a constant through every chapter of his life, from competing himself to coaching his children in basketball, soccer, and baseball.

Timothy served in the U.S. Navy as a Damage Controlman. Before boot camp, he tried out for the Navy SEALs, but brain surgery prevented him from pursuing that goal. His own experience with an unexpected change of direction gives him a personal appreciation for the setbacks and determination behind an athlete’s story.

His college football loyalties come with a confession: he once claimed Texas simply to irritate his father. Eventually, he realized he knew very little about the Longhorns and plenty about the Oklahoma Sooners he actually watched and admired. These days, he proudly cheers for OU and the OKC Thunder, while finding something to enjoy in just about any sport. Soccer has become a particular passion as he has grown to appreciate the skill, creativity, and teamwork that make it the beautiful game.

Timothy serves as the PA announcer for Mustang Soccer and has also announced at Oklahoma Christian University. He welcomes opportunities to bring his voice and enthusiasm to more teams, events, and communities. Away from the microphone and sidelines, he still enjoys hopping on a skateboard.

At Oklahoma Next Level, Timothy wants to give athletes room to tell the whole story: the work nobody sees, the people who support them, and the courage it takes to keep going. His approach is the same one he brings to a new challenge in his own life: say yes, learn along the way, and never let the possibility of failure keep you from trying.

“Never say no. Learn on the fly. Don’t be afraid of failure. Keep pushing.”
